As the holiday season approaches, we at Depoe Bay Lights are thrilled to unveil some spectacular additions to our hillside display for 2024. Each year, we strive to bring new magic and wonder to our light show, and this year is no exception. Get ready to be dazzled by what’s in store!

The New Hillside Layout:
First, we are excited to announce that our hillside layout has been locked into place for this year. We will not be adding any additional elements after today to ensure we have time to make a seamless and stunning visual experience across all of the music choices.

New Elements for 2024:

• Santa and His Sleigh: We saw this charming wireframe at a meeting that we attended and decided to add him to our other wireframes (trees, snowman, and starfish). We converted him over to LED pixels and you will see him on the left side of the display.
• Infinity Spinner: A mesmerizing addition that will captivate with its swirling lights and hypnotic patterns. Located in the center of the peak on the left building. Infinity has 1400 seed pixels.
• An Additional Mandala Flake: We had a Mandala last year and everyone commented on it so we decided to add another. It can display intricate pattern that add a cool touch of artistry to the display. Located on either side of the Infinity Spinner on the left building.
• Waves under the Orcas: The Orcas have a new home front and center and you need to have water with them so we have added the waves to the coastal scene that also includes our starfish and whale tails.
• Stockings and Doves: Symbols of peace and tradition… when we moved the whales from their position on the porch we wanted to add something that invoked sense of nostalgia to the display.
• Spinners on the Roof: High above, we decided that our Gray Whale outline needed some company so we added some spinners. These will add more magic to the rooftop.
• ShowStopper Trees: These 3 larger size trees are located on the right side of the display and add about 1200 additional lights. The flexibility of these elements is amazing. Watch the lights turn them into snowmen, wisemen or any number of other themed elements appropriate for the song.

We also now have Two Focal Points:
This year, we are proud to present not just one, but two focal points for the display:

• Mega Tree and Orcas: Our iconic mega tree stands 20+ feet tall alongside the graceful orcas we had custom made for the display last year. We have created a mini coastal scene here that will be great for pictures with the Merry Christmas in the forefront.
• Singing Trees and Bulbs: Singing the melodies with their twinkling bulbs, the 3 singing faces return with a new home located near the center of the display. Don’t be surprised when our “lead tree” asks you to turn off your headlights and sit back and enjoy the show.
