Unfortunately I have NOT been busy working on the Christmas Light show. Our company has added a number of new properties, I have taken on some committee and council work that has had me tied up with budgets and the like. All excuses for not spending time on the show.
I have received a few of the new props and I have the layout completed for the hillside and I have a number of songs selected and some sequences in place that I can import to our layout. I’ve also been 3d printing brackets and holders since those things can go on in the background.
The critical thing that I need to get done here relatively soon is an order for the pixels that the new props are going to need. I know I said I wasn’t going to add a lot of stuff this year but the minimal things I am adding still represent nearly 8000 additional pixels.
I have decided that the large display that I was going to put on the south side of the hill is not going to happen. This will save me quite a bit of time (and money) so that I can be a bit more focused on other things.
I am going to head to another lighting enthusiast get together at the end of the month. Hoping that by then things will have started to calm down and I can focus some attention on the show. Will keep you all updated.
