As July rolls around, Depoe Bay Lights is buzzing with anticipation as we kick off the sequencing (importing of effects to the elements) for this year’s Christmas light extravaganza. This season promises to be bigger and brighter than ever before, and we can’t wait to share the magic of the holidays with the community.

I want to give you a taste of this year’s show by showing you the captivating opening sequence that is set to Michael W. Smith’s – “The Spirit of Christmas.” As the music swells, approximately 38,000 lights will twinkle and dance in perfect harmony, painting a stunning visual symphony that captures the essence of the holiday spirit.

Of course, this is just the beginning. With over 70 song choices in our repertoire, each night will offer a unique experience. Whether you’re a fan of classic carols, modern hits, or holiday instrumental pieces, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to create a magical atmosphere that brings joy and wonder to all who visit.

Behind the scenes, I am hard at work adding this years new props to each sequence and working on the new additions to the show for this year. Every twinkle, and every shimmer is carefully crafted to synchronize with the music, creating a seamless and unforgettable experience.
